On Saturday, November 21st, the new Animal and Child Abuse Prevention mascot named CAPPY made his debut at local stores. His appearances were part of a program to promote the release of the annual "Tuscarawas County Kids and Animals Together Throughout the Year" Calendar. The calendar, produced by the Tuscarawas County Familiy and Children First Council's Animal / Child Abuse Prevention Committee, is a full color 2010 calendar, with artwork provided by local children depicting them with their pets. The calendar also contains helpful parenting tips as well as information regarding the link between animal abuse and child abuse.
Below are pictures from CAPPY's debut. Thank you to all who helped make this year's calendar distribution a success.
