April 16, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board hosted Senator Joe Schiavoni at a legislative breakfast to hear testimony from a number
of providers and consumers regarding the need for increased funding for services and the difference the local system has made in their

May 5, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board, in conjunction with Carroll County Job and Family Services, the Carroll County Health Department,
and the Carroll County Family and Children FIrst Council hosted a Children's Mental Health Day celebration on The Square in Carrollton. A
number of representatives from local human service organizations and a variety of community members joining hand to create a “Ring
of Resiliency”. Resiliency refers to an individual’s ability to bounce back when faced with stress, adversity, or trauma. Pictured
below is the Carrollton 7th and 8th grade choir and the "Ring of Resiliency" on the square....

May 27, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board hosted it's First Annual ADAMHS Board Benefit Golf Outing. There were 80 golfers in 20 teams
enjoying the perfect weather and beautiful links at Union Country Club in Dover during the 7-hour event.
Lunch and registration began at 11:30, with an 18-hole scramble following. The evening ended with a delicious meal and awards ceremony in
the Club Dining Room. The award for lowest score went to the Romig Insurance Team, and highest score went to
the team headed by our own Dave Schaffer. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, and hope to see everyone back
next year....
