May 5, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board, in conjunction with Carroll County Job and Family Services, the Carroll County Health Department, and the Carroll County Family and Children FIrst Council hosted a Children's Mental Health Day celebration on The Square in Carrollton. A number of representatives from local human service organizations and a variety of community members joining hand to create a “Ring of Resiliency”. Resiliency refers to an individual’s ability to bounce back when faced with stress, adversity, or trauma.  Pictured below is the Carrollton 7th and 8th grade choir and the "Ring of Resiliency" on the square....more pictures.

May 27, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board hosted it's First Annual ADAMHS Board Benefit Golf Outing.  There were 80 golfers in 20 teams enjoying the perfect weather and beautiful links at Union Country Club in Dover during the 7-hour event.  Lunch and registration began at 11:30, with an 18-hole scramble following. The evening ended with a delicious meal and awards ceremony in the Club Dining Room.  The award for lowest score went to the Romig Insurance Team, and highest score went to the team headed by our own Dave Schaffer.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors, and hope to see everyone back next year....more pictures.

September 30, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board, in conjunction with area mental health agencies, will feature a panel of speakers on the topic “Depression Across the Lifespan.”  This engagement will take place during Mental Illness Awareness Week and is designed to increase discussions about mental illness, reduce stigma, and support individuals in seeking services.  more information.

November 9, 2009 - The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties recently approved a new logo, mission statement and tag line and believe that it is a much better representation of the local behavioral health system supported by ADAMHS Board funding.
