March 13, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board, in conjunction with Personal and Family Counseling, hosted Senator Jason Wilson and Representative
Allen Sayre at a luncheon to hear testimony from a number of providers and consumers regarding the need for increased funding for

April 2, 2009 - The Animal / Child Abuse Prevention Committee of The Tuscarwas County Family and Children First Council held an awards
ceremony for the annual essay contest. The committee also unveiled the winner of the mascot creation contest. See the

May 5, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board, in conjunction with Carroll County Job and Family Services, the Carroll County Health Department,
and the Carroll County Family and Children FIrst Council hosted a Children's Mental Health Day celebration on The Square in Carrollton. A
number of representatives from local human service organizations and a variety of community members joining hand to create a “Ring
of Resiliency”. Resiliency refers to an individual’s ability to bounce back when faced with stress, adversity, or trauma. Pictured
below is the Carrollton 7th and 8th grade choir and the "Ring of Resiliency" on the square....

May 27, 2009 - The ADAMHS Board hosted it's First Annual ADAMHS Board Benefit Golf Outing. There were 80 golfers in 20 teams
enjoying the perfect weather and beautiful links at Union Country Club in Dover during the 7-hour event.
Lunch and registration began at 11:30, with an 18-hole scramble following. The evening ended with a delicious meal and awards ceremony in
the Club Dining Room. The award for lowest score went to the Romig Insurance Team, and highest score went to
the team headed by our own Dave Schaffer. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, and hope to see everyone back
next year....

August 31, 2009 -
The newly formed Executive Committee of the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties recently
convened its first official meeting at the ADAMHS Board. The Executive Committee is charged with providing leadership to the
entire Coalition by identifying local resources, establishing an operating budget and addressing training and service intervention
needs which are all designed to reduce the incidence of suicide within the communities of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties. The
mission of the Coalition is that "The communities of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties will provide sufficient resources (programs)
for the prevention of suicide."....
